Managing contacts
Registering contacts, CSV import, and what happens to linked data on delete
Updated 2026.08.24
This page covers managing your customer companies' contacts with Contacts in the left navigation.
Register a contact
Add one from Add. You can set the name, email address, phone number, company, job title, and so on.
Contacts can also be registered from business cards. See Scan business cards to register contacts.
Import and export via CSV
To register an existing list in bulk, use CSV import. Export with CSV export.
Filter the list
Combine column settings and filters and save them as a saved view. As your contact count grows, the conditions you care about stay one click away.
Check email correspondence
A contact's detail screen shows your email exchanges with that person. The last contact date is displayed too, helping you spot "people I haven't reached out to in a while".
Linked data when deleting
Deleting a contact requires choosing what happens to the linked data.
| Choice | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Detach | Keep the records; remove only their association with this contact |
| Migrate | Move the related records to another contact |
If you choose migrate, specify the destination contact. A contact with related data can't be deleted without making a choice.
Deleting a contact also deletes their related notes and tasks — and the operation cannot be undone. Before you run it, make sure nothing you want to keep is attached.
Bulk delete of several contacts works too. Partial failures show the success and failure counts.
