Calendar integration
How calendar events are imported, and the working-hours settings behind availability
Updated 2026.08.13
This page explains how calendar events flow into Aitane and the related settings.
Supported calendars
- Google Calendar (Google Workspace integration)
- Outlook Calendar (Microsoft 365 integration)
For connection steps, see Connect your accounts.
Importing events
Calendar events appear under Meetings. Events containing a meeting URL (Zoom / Google Meet / Microsoft Teams) can have the recording bot join them.
Availability settings
In Calendar settings you specify the conditions used to compute availability. These are used when proposing meeting times by email.
| Setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Working hours start / end | The time range offered as candidates |
| Business days | The weekdays offered as candidates |
| Meeting duration | Default is 30 minutes |
| Buffer | Time kept free before and after meetings |
With a 15-minute buffer, the 15 minutes right after an existing event are never offered as candidates — leaving you time to travel or prepare.
How holidays are handled
Holidays are not detected from the weekday settings.
Register company days off (public holidays, founding anniversary, summer break, etc.) as all-day events on a connected calendar. They are then excluded from candidates automatically.
If you do work on public holidays, just keep that weekday in your business days and times are proposed as usual.
