Managing notes
Creating notes, tabs, templates, and linking them to records
Updated 2026.08.13
This page covers managing memos and records with Notes in the left navigation.
Create a note
Start from Create note. The body supports Markdown, and you can set a title and tags.
What you type is saved automatically.
Split with tabs
A single note can be divided into tabs — useful when you want separate pages for minutes, homework, social, and so on. Tabs can be renamed and deleted later.
Turn one into a template
A note whose structure you use often can become a template via Create template from note. Handy for settling on a meeting-memo shape and keeping the team consistent.
For shape ideas, the downloadable "standard meeting record formats" resource also helps.
Link to companies and contacts
Notes can be linked to companies and contacts. Once linked, the note is reachable from that customer's screen. Linking to meetings works too.
Make them easy to find
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pin | Fixes it to the top |
| Favorite | Opens it from the left navigation |
| View toggle | List view / grid view |
The list groups by favorites, pinned, recent notes, and created today/this week/this month. Filters and display settings can be saved as a saved view.
Copy link gives you a URL that opens the note directly, ready to share.
Delete
Delete notes you don't need — several at once works too.
Deleting a contact deletes the notes related to that contact. If there are notes you want to keep, unlink them first or move them to another contact. See Managing contacts.
