Manage deals and customers

The three core objects — deals, companies, contacts — and setting up deal stages

Updated 2026.10.01

This page covers the basics of managing opportunities and customer data in Aitane. It takes about 10 minutes.

The three core objects

ObjectWhat it manages
DealsOpportunities, with stage, amount, and expected close date
CompaniesCustomer company information
ContactsThe people at those companies

Deals link to companies and contacts, and related meetings and emails can all be traced from one place. You stop spending time hunting for "what did we talk about last time on this deal?"

If you need to manage information these three can't represent, such as agencies, projects, or contracts, a workspace admin can create objects specific to your company (beta). See Custom objects.

Set up your deal stages

  1. Open Settings → Deal stages.
  2. Edit the stages to match your sales process. Stages are grouped into In progress and Completed.
  3. Reorder stages by drag and drop.

Revenue forecasts are calculated from deal amounts and stages, so keeping stages aligned with your real process matters. The defaults are 初回接触 (First contact) → ヒアリング (Discovery) → 提案 (Proposal) → 検討中 (Under review) → 条件調整 (Negotiation) → 受注 (Won) / 失注 (Lost). Treat these as a starting point — change them to fit your process from Setting up deal stages.

How meetings and email tie in

  • Update a deal's stage and confidence straight from meeting minutes
  • From a deal's screen, list all related meetings, emails, tasks, and notes
